Specialist Supported & Assisted Living Accommodation Provider
We are a not for profit specialist provider of both supported and assisted living accommodation. If you are over 55 years old or older and need help and management for day to day tasks and require assisted or living accommodation then we are here to help. Alternatively, if you have any form of learning difficulty, disability or impairment that requires support and are over 18 years of age then our supported living accommodation maybe of interest to you. Registered Provider of Social Housing
SLE Housing have submitted a detailed application to the regulator of Social Housing to be become a registered provider of social housing under the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008 (the HRA 2008) in England.
All of our property portfolio exceeds national minimum space standards set out by the Department of Communities and Local Government.
Intensive Housing Management Services
How we help you
We provide intensive housing management to all of our residents. In order to achieve this we ensure all residents have full and easy access to management services, resources, expertise within our organisation and from local specialist support agencies. We therefore deliver accommodation that provides short and long-term benefit to our residents which integrate and enrich communities and neighbourhoods, alike.
SLE Housing is committed to helping to sustain tenancies for as long as it meets their needs. Intensive management commences from day one and throughout the tenancy. Housing Managers will undertake an induction to:
- Explain the terms and conditions of the tenancy agreement;
- Ensure that the resident is aware of their rights under their agreement;
- Identify welfare benefit entitlement and gain necessary information from the tenant;
- Explain house rules;
- Ensure that the resident knows how to safely use equipment; key card entry system, AV visitor notification system, WIFI, lift etc; and
- Explain the move-on/exchange/ planning process.
Our tenancy management is aimed at preventing unnecessary evictions and addressing residents’ individual needs. On an ongoing basis, and as required, SLE Housing, will liaise and coordinate with the designated supported provider and provide:
- Practical advice & guidance on keeping apartments to a reasonable standard of hygiene e.g. oven, microwave, fridge, washer, dryer etc;
- Information on local services/amenities;
- Clear and relevant advice about their housing options; and
- Support if residents choose to move on/exchange.
